3. Hydrogeology
The groundwater along the route is mainly composed of three basic types: karst water, bedrock fissure water and Quaternary pore water. Bedrock fissure water is mainly distributed in red bed continental clastic sedimentary rocks, clastic rocks, Banxi Group epimetamorphic rocks, and magmatic rocks. It is widely distributed in the area from Xinhua, Huaihua to Zhenyuan. Generally speaking, the amount of water in bedrock fissures is relatively poor, but it is abundant in fault zones, fault intersections, and contact zones between rock masses and surrounding rocks.
Abundant, the supply and storage conditions of groundwater on the first and first terraces are poor, there are few springs on the upper terraces, and groundwater is generally not corrosive.
