Okayama Back Paradise

Okayama Paradise, one of the three most famous gardens in Japan, was built in 1687 and took 13 years to complete. It is one of the few famous gardens that still has the flavor of the Edo period. The beech forest in Oyama National Park is the largest in Western Japan. This 1,709-meter-high mountain is the highest peak in the Yangshan and Yinshan areas. It has been a monastery of the mountain faith since the Heian period, with approximately 100 monasteries and more than 3,000 monks at its peak. Every year from the end of October to the beginning of November, the entire mountain is dyed in seven colors, and there are some lantern lighting activities at Dai Sanji's lanterns and the mountain gate.

Zuri Art Museum

Gogenji Temple

Crocodile Garden Temple, opened around the end of the 6th century AD, is a famous temple in Izumo City. It is said to be the temple where Musashibo Benkei, a monk who lived in the late Heian period, practiced asceticism. Musashibo Benkei is a representative figure of the Japanese Bushido spirit. His experiences have often become the subject of movies, Japanese dramas and novels. In the Crocodile Garden Temple in late autumn, the stone steps from the front of the temple to Shendao form a tunnel of red leaves. The Autumn Leaves Festival is held around mid-to-late November, attracting many maple viewing tourists.

Hongyano Park

Hongyano Park is located in Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. There were many temples in the Edo period, so it is called "Tera Valley" . Now only Yongxing Temple and Dongquan Temple remain. There is a hiking trail in the park leading to Iwakuni City, and it is also very close to the famous scenic spot "Kindai Bridge" in Yamaguchi Prefecture. The surrounding area is close to Yoshikoshi Park, which was converted from the old residence of Yoshikawa, the lord of Iwakuni. The quaint streets and parks are very quiet and it is known as the "Kamakura of the West".

Changfu Garden
