Appreciation of "Long Night Book"

The first couplet uses antithesis to describe the loneliness of being boating alone at night. On the shore where the fine grass stretches and the breeze blows, the poet is alone in his high-sailed night boat. In the lonely river and sky where the boat is parked in the quiet night, the joy of traveling spontaneously arises and cannot be stopped. I don't express my sorrow but see my sorrow.

The two sentences of the chin couplet are respectively inherited from the first couplet: The plains on the shore are vast, and the stars hang in the distance; the river waves are rolling in front of the boat. The moon shadow flows like a surge. These two sentences are majestic and have a grand realm. They have the same syntax as Li Bai's "The mountains follow the plains and the plains end, and the rivers flow into the wilderness", but their workmanship is the same. Li's poem only describes mountains and rivers. These two sentences describe the vastness of the fields and the stars hanging down, and the rivers flowing and the moon surging. He describes four things in total. The multi-layered feeling of the intertwined scenery in the picture seems to be more prominent. Not only is the description of people's feelings about the scenery very realistic, but also the distinctive characteristics of the natural landscape are highlighted through this description. Specifically, because the "plain field is vast", it appears that the stars hang far away like hanging down, and the use of the word "hanging" reflects the vastness of the wilderness; because of the "big river flow", the moonlight in the river seems to be rolling like a surge. , and the use of the word "yong" also highlights the majesty of the surging river rolling forward thousands of times.

The two sentences in the neck couplet evoke the deep sadness of the world due to the vastness and loneliness of the night scene. The fifth sentence is self-effacing, but actually conceited. How could he be famous because of his articles? This is the same sentiment as the author's line in another poem dedicated to Yan Wu, "How could there be an article that would shock the world?" The sixth sentence is self-explanatory and is really a complaint. Saying that he lost his official position because he was old and sick seems to be a tactful way of hating himself, but in fact he hates the world. The real situation is that there are many conflicts with the times and events. If this meaning is not stated directly, the grief and indignation will be deeper. Qiu Zhaoao's "Detailed Notes on Du Shi" quoted an old note as saying: "The name and reality are due to the article, and the official does not retire because of old age and illness, so the two words "qi" and "ying" are used. The rhetoric is to see the meaning, so the book is pregnant." It is quite said. Pertinent and can be used as a reference.

The last couplet shows oneself in the scene, comparing oneself with a sand gull, hurting oneself and drifting away. Asking and answering questions, the desolation of old feelings becomes more and more prominent. The vast "heaven and earth" set off a tiny "sand gull", which makes the tragedy and lamentation of his solitary life experience even more obvious. This metaphor goes hand in hand with the confession at the beginning. "One Shagull" echoes "One Night Boat", and the image of the lyrical protagonist's loneliness and wandering is fully highlighted.
