Xixi National Wetland Park is located in the west of Hangzhou, only 6 kilometers away from Wulinmen, the main city of Hangzhou, and only 5 kilometers away from West Lake. Western opera originated in Han and Jin Dynasties, developed in Tang and Song Dynasties, flourished in Ming and Qing Dynasties, declined in the Republic of China and revived in the contemporary era. There are "West Lake, Xixi and Xiling" in the history of Hangzhou, also known as "Three Wests". In history, Xixi covered an area of about 60 square kilometers, and now the total protected area of Xixi wetland is about 1 1.5 square kilometers. There are ten scenic spots of "Autumn Deer Flying Snow, Gaozhuang Jeffery Ji, Fishing Village Misty Rain, Lotus Pearl Listening to Songs, Dragon Boat Victory, Qushui Xun Mei, Flint Stone Reflecting Wave, Lotus Beach Heron Shadow, Yu Hongyuan Cloud and Jianjia Panyue" and three dikes of "Blessed Land, Green Land and Shoudi".
