Need. According to Nanjing local treasure, there are two ways to make an appointment at Nanjing Purple Mountain Observatory:

1. You need to make an appointment in official website one month in advance to make an online appointment. You can choose the date of climbing the mountain and pay the reservation fee. After the payment is completed, you can climb the mountain in Zijinshan.

2. On-site reservation needs to be made at Zijinshan Scenic Area. You can pay the reservation fee on site and participate in climbing the Zijinshan Mountain.
