Professional Overview: Xiamen University’s tourism undergraduate education was founded in 1989. In 1994, the tourism management major was officially established with the approval of the State Education Commission. In 1998, it began to recruit tourism management master’s students, and in 2004 it recruited tourism management doctoral students. It began recruiting Masters in Tourism Management (MTA) in 2014, and in 2014, the hotel management major was officially established with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
