New Zealand Tourist Visa

There are online applications for tourist visas and paper applications for tourist visas.

Step 1: Prepare visa application

Chinese citizens traveling to and visiting New Zealand must fill in the following three forms if their stay is less than 6 months:

1. Chinese tourist visa application

2. Chinese tourist supplementary application form

3. Visit visa (less than 6 months)

After completing the above form and sorting out supporting documents, you can submit your visa application. Immigration New Zealand recommends that you submit your application at least 20 days before your departure date.

Step 2: Submit your visa application – fees and delivery methods

Once you have completed these forms and have relevant supporting documents ready, you are ready to submit your application.

There are two ways to submit a visa application:

1. Submit in person: If you submit it in person at the visa center, you can pay in cash.

2. Mail: If you apply by mail, you can transfer it via bank transfer.

Step 3: Check application progress

Once the visa is successfully submitted, your visit visa application will be processed as soon as possible.

After all matters are processed, you will be notified to come and collect relevant materials. If you request in advance to send the materials back by secure post, we will arrange the postal return for you.

What materials are needed to apply for a New Zealand tourist visa?

1. The original passport of the applicant; a private passport valid for more than 6 months, with a signature and Chinese name on the last page of the passport. Those holding a renewed passport must also provide all originals of the old passport.

7. The applicant’s household registration book. If the applicant is married, he or she must provide a complete set of copies of the household registration booklet for himself, his spouse and all children. ; If the applicant is unmarried, he must provide a copy of his and his parents’ complete household registration book.

8. If the applicant is a retiree, please provide a copy of his retirement certificate and pension certificate.
