Lhasa has three districts.

Lhasa, also known as Rogge and Sunlight City, is the prefecture-level city and capital of Xizang Autonomous Region. It has jurisdiction over 3 municipal districts (Chengguan District, Duilong Deqing District and Dazi District), 5 counties (Linzhou County, Dangxiong County, Qushui County of Nimu County and Mozhugongka County), ***64 townships (towns and offices) and 269 village committees (community neighborhood committees).

Geographical environment:

Lhasa is located in the southwest of China, in the middle of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, on the north side of the Himalayas, and in the valley plain in the middle reaches of the Lhasa River, a tributary of the Yarlung Zangbo River. Its geographical coordinates are 9 106' east longitude and 29 36' north latitude.

The Lhasa River flows through it and flows into the Yarlung Zangbo River in the southern suburbs. It is the political, economic, cultural, scientific and educational center of Tibet. It is 3650 meters above sea level and sunny all year round. The annual sunshine time is more than 3000 hours, and it is known as the "Sunshine City".
