When is the rainy season in Japan?

The rainy season in Japan is slightly different due to the large geographical span. But in general, the rainy season in Japan is from May to July, which usually lasts for about one month. (1) In early summer, most parts of Japan are in rainy season, that is, tsuyu (or White), which literally means plum rain, because this season is just the season when plums are ripe.

(2) The rainy season is the collision between the cold air mass in the north and the warm air mass in the south, which leads to the relatively stable bad weather in Japan for several weeks.

(3) In most parts of Japan, the rainy season lasts from June to mid-July and affects Okinawa for about a month in the morning. Only the northernmost main island in Hokkaido, Japan, is hardly affected by the rainy season.

(4) Except Hokkaido, the rest of the island is rainy. Japanese writer Dev Lu Hua's "Plum Rain Season" wrote: "The air is heavy and dignified ... the smoke from the kitchen stove is also wet, so it is difficult to rise, and it can only be turned into fog and crawled forward." Although it is a few words, it is also vivid.

(5) In Japan, the criteria for judging plum entry are different from those in China. When "Meiyu Front" approached Japan, the Japan Meteorological Agency announced that it had entered the Meiyu season. For ordinary people, the rainy season only means a period of high probability of rainfall. Because we only pay attention to the approach of the front, and don't pay much attention to the indicators such as rainfall, temperature and humidity, there is no "typical" plum rain in China, and there is no "atypical" plum rain.

(6) Under normal circumstances, from May of each year, the rainy season in Japan, like the "cherry blossom front", has appeared in various regions from journey to the south, Okinawa. The duration of Huangmeitian is about 1 month and a half.
