After the flood season, there was heavy rain in Tai 'an, with an average rainfall of 199.7mm, up 4% over the same period of last year. Especially on June 3th, July 8th and July 2th, seven counties and cities, including Taishan District, Daiyue District and xintai city, suffered from different degrees of rainstorm, hail and tornado, resulting in direct economic losses of 61.4 million yuan. Heavy rains on July 5 and July 2 also caused ground subsidence in some villages in Shengzhuang Town, Qiujiadian Town, Taishan District, and Culai Town, Daiyue District, * * * damaged 3,26 houses, and needed to relocate 3,33 people, resulting in a direct economic loss of 17.2 million yuan. According to statistics, as of July 31st, 1.785 million people in Tai 'an suffered from various natural disasters, resulting in a direct economic loss of 568 million yuan.
According to the staff of the Disaster Relief Section, every disaster was reported and rescued in time, which minimized the disaster losses. By July 31st, disaster relief departments at all levels had allocated 7.6 million yuan of living assistance funds for the affected people, and properly resettled and helped 266,2 people in need.
