Who is Liu Zhang?

Liu Zhang is a famous contemporary poet in China. At present, 27 poems have been published, including Selected Poems of Liu Zhang, Love Poems of Liu Zhang's Township, Selected Prose of Liu Zhang, Northern Mountain Love and Selected Prose of Liu Zhang. In "50th Anniversary of the Founding of New China" held by Poetry Journal of Chinese Writers Association from 65438 to 0999, readers voted that Guo Xiaochuan and Liu Zhang both won this honor, which made Chengde proud and became the pride of Chengde poetry circle.

The first time I met Mr. Liu Zhang was in 1975, when I was studying in Longhua Jiutun High School. In order to improve our writing level, teacher Liu Yaoru, the head teacher, invited Wang Shun, a self-taught young model in Liangfang Village, Taipingzhuang Commune, Longhua County. Wang Shun told us about writing knowledge in combination with his works. The masterpiece "Pastoral" mentioned in the class is the work of Teacher Liu Zhang. "Flowers are halfway up the mountain, grass is halfway up the mountain, white clouds are halfway up the mountain, and birds are crowded into the sky." Many students and I, although we don't know what a new poem is and have no intention to write it, all like this fresh and lively poem and copy it in our notebooks.

1976 after graduating from high school, I went back to my hometown to farm. The production team leader and members saw that I was thin and small, and my thin body backbone could not do heavy manual work, so they chose me as a cowherd. I think the famous poet in China is still herding sheep. I am an ordinary high school graduate who is nothing. My cow is much bigger than Mr. Liu's. I am also a cow, and I feel very satisfied and happy. I am determined to learn from two teachers, Liu Zhang and Wang Shun, and become a literate worker. Cattle are grazing on the hillside, and I am busy reading at the top of the mountain. This is a portrayal of my life as a herdsman. 1978, because I am hardworking, not lazy and have a certain education, I was elected as an advanced representative of labor and study, and attended the first youth socialist revolution and socialist construction activist congress in Chengde area. 1979 was awarded the title of "Young Red Flag Bearer" by Chengde District Committee of the Communist Youth League, and was elected secretary of the Youth League branch and captain of the production team that year. 1980 openly select agricultural cadres from the cadres of the production team of the brigade. Among 37 1 candidates, I was hired by Longhua County Agriculture Bureau with a total score of 10.

I left my hometown, but my feelings for my hometown remain the same. In the early 1980s, during the Renaissance, poetry societies were established in various places. In Longhua alone, there are famous poetry clubs such as Tide, Dew, Green Grass, New Life and Maple Leaf. I also founded a poetry club with some friends who love poetry in my hometown, and edited the mimeographed publication "Germination", which was not so good, but it was praised and affirmed by Gao Zhanxiang, secretary of the provincial party committee, and encouraged by Hu Guangyi, secretary of the Chengde prefectural party committee. Teachers such as Li He and Li Xue, who had never met in Chengde, gave the National Style Poetry Journal. The works of teachers such as Liu Zhang, Chang Jie, Wu Hua, Bai, Bu Jiujiang have benefited the members of the poetry club a lot. Especially 1984, I was admitted to the full-time study of the basic class for party and government cadres in Hebei Radio and TV University. In contemporary literature, I talked about Teacher Liu Zhang, which made me admire Teacher Liu Zhang even more. Therefore, every time I see Mr. Liu Zhang's works, I read them carefully. Up to now, I still have the notebook "Country Morning Songs" published by Mr. Liu Zhang 20 years ago, but my understanding of Mr. Liu Zhang is only in class and in newspapers and periodicals.

The second time I got to know Mr. Liu Zhang was on May 29th, 1997, the founding ceremony of Chengde Guo Xiaochuan Research Association. As the chairman of Longhua Writers Association and the representative of Chengde Youth Literature Creation Association, I was fortunate to attend this meeting. Teacher Liu Zhang, who has just been elected as the president of Guo Xiaochuan Research Association, gave a speech on "Holding the Torch of Our Poetry". Teacher Liu Zhang said that Guo Xiaochuan was the brightest star of poetry in New China, and his name added eternal aura to Chengde. In this land, such a radiant figure as him is unprecedented, and people hope that there will be others to bloom flowers and pick stars for our hot land. I feel indescribable joy to meet the great poet I admire, but unfortunately I didn't have a chance to take a photo with Mr. Liu Zhang and say a few words. But I thought to myself, the poetry superstar Guo Xiaochuan hasn't come yet, and Teacher Liu Zhang is just another superstar.

May 25th 1998 is the 50th anniversary of the heroic sacrifice of Dong Cunrui, a famous national fighting hero. Longhua Writers Association plans to hold a poetry essay-writing activity in memory of Dong Cunrui. With the strong support of Cunrui Middle School and teachers such as Wang Shun, Zhao Hongyou and Bai Yuxi, the "Cunrui Cup", sponsored by China Minority Writers Association and undertaken by Chengde Writers Association and Longhua Writers Association, kicked off the national poetry essay to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dong Cunrui's sacrifice. People worship heroes, and more than 2 1 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions and the People's Liberation Army 1000 people participated in the contest. The essay-writing activities are of high specifications and involve a wide range, so it is necessary to invite influential poets in China to be the directors of the jury. After my thoughts were reported to Li He, Chairman of Chengde Writers Association, He Laoshi said that we agreed and asked Liu Zhang to be the director of the jury. Under the auspices of Mr. Liu Zhang and with the joint efforts of judges such as Dai Yantian, the award was fair and just, and the poetry contest ended successfully.

In order to present the 50th birthday of the motherland, Longhua Writers Association decided to edit and publish Selected Poems of Longhua. As the editor-in-chief, I invited two teachers, Liu Zhang and Li He, to make a preface. After Zhang called Mr. Liu, Mr. Liu told Zhang happily. Not long after, Mr. Liu Zhang sent back a preface and spoke highly of Selected Poems of Longhua, saying that Longhua, Linqu, Shandong and Suiyang, Guizhou are also called the hometown of three major poems in China. It greatly inspired the authors of Longhua poems and strengthened the enthusiasm of amateur authors. People's Daily, Chengde Daily and Chengde Evening News reported the publication of Selected Poems of Longhua.

In the new Millennium, Mr. Liu Zhang is so concerned about Longhua literature and so supportive of my work, but at this time, Mr. Liu Zhang doesn't know me. Teacher Liu and I are friends on the phone and in letters. Knowing that Huang Shoudong worked hard, he wrote to encourage him. Chen Guiping, a farmer poet in Guo Jiatun, came to the home of Teacher Liu Zhang in Shijiazhuang and asked for guidance. The whole family treats each other warmly. Call for concern about the drought in Longhua and Chengde ... At the end of 20001,I learned that Mr. Liu Zhang was seriously ill and sent a message wishing Mr. Liu Zhang an early recovery. Teacher Liu wrote back when he was ill, which in turn comforted Longhua's literary friends not to worry about it, and let me appreciate the strong will of a great poet. Teacher Liu Zhang is not only a mountain in the palace of poetry art, but also a model for people.

The third time I met Mr. Liu Zhang was at the fourth congress of Hebei Writers Association. It is my wish to have the opportunity to visit Mr. Liu Zhang in Shijiazhuang and let him know me, a student who has been in contact for many years. Maybe it's fate. On August 26th, 2002, I received a phone call from Yang Linbo, Chairman of Chengde Writers Association, asking me to attend the 4th Writers' Conference of Hebei Province with the delegation of Chengde Writers Association. On August 29th, after I reported to Bailou Hotel, I immediately found Zhang Jun, a famous Longhua writer and vice chairman of Hebei Writers Association, and asked to see Mr. Liu Zhang. Teacher Zhang Jun said that Teacher Liu Zhang lived upstairs. I came to room 3520. Teacher Liu Zhang is sitting in a chair watching TV, which is obviously thinner than when I last saw Teacher Liu. But those who don't know the details can't see that he has recovered from a serious illness, and his eyes are still shining with the passion of poetry. I introduced myself. Teacher Liu Zhang said: As soon as you spoke, I knew you were Wang Zhenping, just like the voice on the phone. You came all the way to the meeting. The weather in Shijiazhuang is hotter than that in our hometown. Have a good rest and pay more attention to your health. I didn't wait for Mr. Liu Zhang to say hello. Teacher Liu took care of me first, which made me very moved. I couldn't help chatting with Mr. Liu for more than two hours and got to know him better.

Teacher Liu Zhang (1939 65438+1October 22nd) was born in a poor peasant family in Shangzhuang Village, Xinglong County, Chengde City. 1956 17 years old, published his first new poem "Night in the Mine" in People's Daily; 1958 "Poetry Magazine" published 20 short poems with the theme of "singing from sunrise to sunset" in issue 10, which caused great opposition in the poetry circle; From 65438 to 0959, Tianjin Baihua Publishing House published the first book of poetry, Yanshan Song. 1962 has published three poems. When Mr. Liu Zhang learned about it, he called me and said that I dare not compare with Guo Xiaochuan, and that I am a superstar in Chengde poetry. I wrote in the preface of Liu Zhang's Poems I Choose that I will always be a student of poetry. This is Mr. Liu Zhang, a great poet I know.
