You dongyang woodcarving capital
This time, because of the power shortage in power plants, I am honored to go to see it with people from three nearby villages, including aunts, uncles and aunts, and colleagues. Dongyang is a professional woodcarving museum that comprehensively displays the history and culture of woodcarving and integrates three functions of collection, research and display. There are five basic exhibitions in the museum: the History Museum, the Life Museum, the Master Museum, the World Museum and the Bamboo Art Museum, which is a systematic summary of China's thousands of years of woodcarving cultural traditions and the pursuit of modern people's quality of life.
As soon as I arrived at the entrance of the museum, I was attracted by its resemblance to the China Pavilion. I described its shape carefully, and it was really magnificent. When you enter the exhibition hall, the first thing you see is a giant sculpture. It is very big, as big as a wall; It is very exquisite, and everyone who carves it is lifelike; It's very high, as high as two stories. How long does it take to carve such a giant sculpture?
Walking into the history museum, it feels like crossing time and space and returning to the bridge across the lake more than 8,000 years ago. The development of woodcarving can be divided into four stages: the beginning of chopping wood, knocking wood for business, meticulous carving and reaching the peak. Wood carving across the lake bridge began in the first stage. People there use sharp stones as carving knives, and the carved things are not very beautiful, but they can still be used as decorations. The woodcarving skills in Ming and Qing dynasties were much more exquisite than before, and the carved figures and animals were lovely.
Out of the history hall, we came to the living room. In the living room, I feel as if I were in a big house. The doors, windows, beams and beds there are all carved with exquisite flowers, grass and figures. In the living room, I also saw the emperor's memorial to the Ninth Five-Year Plan. Although you can't watch it at close range, it feels very atmospheric from a distance. I actually imagined the emperor sitting on it. There are also two screens next to the throne, one is "A hundred birds pay homage to the phoenix" and the other is "a beautiful country". The birds carved on these two screens are lifelike, very lifelike!
After visiting the woodcarving museum, I was amazed at these skilled craftsmen, and suddenly remembered a sentence in the introduction of the museum: "woodcarving is rooted in soil, and the heart is carved in wood." Only by carving seriously, carefully and attentively can we carve exquisite works.
Our work is the same, as long as we can bear hardships and stand hard work, work patiently and work hard to gain something.
