Snakes have complicated living habits.

Snakes like to live in places with suitable temperature, not far from water, good hidden conditions, dark and humid, and rich food, such as bushes, grasslands or forest trees, ditches, etc. And in the environment with convenient predation and good concealment, most of them take caves as shelters.

Snakes are sensitive to ambient temperature. Snakes are animals with variable body temperature. Temperature 13 ~ 30℃, suitable for snakes. They are active at 20 ~ 30℃. Below 13℃, they hibernate in warm places, and above 30℃, they look for cool places or bathe in water. It is advisable to keep the relative humidity of air above 50%.

Snakes are nocturnal animals, but in rainy and sultry weather, when the temperature is above 30℃ and the relative humidity is above 80%, they occasionally go out for activities during the day or live in caves to enjoy the cool.

In early summer, when the weather is clear and the temperature is 15 ~ 18℃, snakes also like to come out for a while in the sun at noon. At other times, the snakes that come out during the day are mostly male snakes or weak snakes and sick snakes.

After the rainstorm in summer, snakes come out of the hole most at night, and almost all of them come out of the hole.
