1965 Xu chengen's urea dewaxing device was finally designed successfully under the expectation of many people. The paraffin in crude oil was removed by chemical reaction, which played a positive role in using Daqing crude oil to provide fuel for aviation and alpine regions. From the end of 1960s to 1970s, Xu Chengen, as the chief engineer of Beijing Design Institute, presided over the design of Yanhua Refinery and Foreign Aid Refinery.
