Consequences of artificial intervention in weather
At present, two kinds of catalysts are mainly used in artificial rainfall in China: one is dry ice, which cools the surrounding air layer to tens of degrees Celsius below zero when evaporating, thus causing water droplets to condense; The second is silver iodide, which is first-class in "making rain". Dry ice is actually carbon dioxide, and silver iodide, as a chemical substance, has extremely low toxicity.
In addition, the efficiency of making ice crystals with silver iodide is very high. Usually, a piece of cumulus clouds can be effective as long as it is sprinkled with dozens or tens of grams, and the dosage is very low, which is almost negligible, so it will not cause any pollution. The principle of artificial rainfall is to artificially force the water vapor in the cloud into rain, and the water vapor itself is not rich, so the probability of causing heavy rain is very small.
The difference between artificial rainfall and natural rainfall
1. From a meteorological point of view, observe the shape of clouds in the sky before it rains. If there were no cumulonimbus clouds, it wouldn't rain. Cumulonimbus clouds are divided into cumulonimbus clouds and light cumulonimbus clouds. At first, it was a light cumulonimbus cloud, and then it began to rain in an inverted triangle, and a strong gust was also formed at this time.
2. Note that under normal circumstances, strong winds will definitely not be artificial rainfall. Artificial rainfall uses chemical reagents to condense water vapor, which is essentially no different from real rain. Therefore, the shape of the cloud before rain can tell whether it is really rain or not.
3, artificial rainfall is not always possible, but also observe the weather and choose the right weather for rainfall. Some obviously have high temperature, hot weather and little water, so it is difficult to successfully rain.
