How Nanning Shenglongtan was formed

Naturally formed.

Shenglongtan Park is located in Mingyang Industrial Zone, Nanning City. According to "Geological Review" (Issue 04, 1964), it is a karst lake developed in the Permian Maokou Period limestone. , the lake is 200 meters long and 150 meters wide, in the shape of an elongated chicken heart. The depth is measured at 251 meters. When measured, the horizontal elevation of the lake surface was 90 meters, which means the depth of the lake bottom is 188 meters below sea level.

The water in Shenglongtan is deep and green, surrounded by green shade. No matter whether the weather is drought or flood, the water level does not change much. There is no outlet or inlet on the water surface. The thick water pipes on the edge of the pool are continuously pumping out the water in the pool. It supports 50,000 people in Mingyang, and the water in the pond never overflows when it is full, and never dries up. This proves that the water in Shenglongtan comes from the underground river. In the morning and evening in winter and spring, you can see bursts of mist rising from the lake, like mist, and strange rocks in the water disappearing and appearing, like a dream or a painting.

The most important thing is that the temperature of Tanshui is 21-23 degrees all year round. It is like a large air conditioner with built-in warmth in winter and coolness in summer. You can go into the water to escape the heat in summer and take a bath in hot springs in winter! December to March of the following year is the best "golden diving season" in Shenglongtan Lake. At this time, because the temperature is lower than the water temperature, the entire lake is often filled with white air and mist, making it look like a fairyland. At the same time, visibility during this period is also the highest of the year, and can basically be maintained at around 10-15 meters.
