Recently, a news of "pig heatstroke" rushed to the hot search.

Chongqing Yubei District Fire Rescue Detachment received an alarm for help. A large truck carrying more than 1 10 pigs was parked near the toll station, and all the pigs in the truck showed signs of heatstroke to varying degrees.

When the firemen arrived, they found that most of the pigs were red in face and body, drooling and panting, and several of them had fainted.

The firemen immediately picked up the water gun to cool the pig. After repeated washing for more than 10 minutes, the pig gradually "wakes up".

This makes many people sigh: it's too hot, even the pigs have heatstroke!

How hot is it this year?

Since the summer, many places have started the "high temperature mode", and Henan has been heated into "Conan".

Recently, the Central Meteorological Observatory issued a high temperature warning for more than 20 consecutive days, and recently issued the highest level of red warning.

In the ranking of the top ten hottest areas in China from the end of July to the beginning of August released by China weather, Toksun in Xinjiang ranked first with a temperature of 46.6℃, and Yunyang in Hubei ranked tenth with a temperature of 42.7℃.

You see, the top ten are all above 42℃, which shows how hot it is.

So why is it so hot this year?

According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, the main cause of high temperature weather is related to the abnormal situation of atmospheric circulation.

The monitoring shows that the western Pacific subtropical high has a wide range and high intensity. Under its control, the whole southern part of China was affected by the downdraft, and some areas turned cloudy and sunny. During the day, under the influence of solar radiation, near-surface heating is relatively strong, so there is a wide range of high temperature weather.

Don't look at beginning of autumn now, some areas have a little autumn in the morning and evening, but it is far from really cool! Don't forget the autumn tiger, and according to the forecast, there will be no obvious tropical system affecting China in the southern tropical ocean for some time to come, and the subtropical high will still control all this, which means that the high temperature weather will continue.

The harm of high temperature is too much! People are too hot to say that pigs can't stand it, and crops are threatened by reduced production.

At present, rice growth in South China has entered a critical stage, which is the most sensitive period to temperature and moisture. Continued high temperature and drought in the later period will have a certain impact on yield and quality.

This kind of high temperature and drought is not only in China, but also covers almost the whole northern hemisphere.

India, for example, has shown signs since March. In May, the temperature once exceeded 50℃. Due to drought and water shortage, wheat is also facing a reduction in production, so India has also issued a wheat export ban.

The United States is no exception. Since July, the temperature in most parts of the southern and northeastern United States has also risen to 37℃, and the somatosensory temperature has reached more than 40℃.

At present, more than 90 million people in the United States are under the high temperature alarm, which has even caused many deaths, so "hot death" is really no longer a joke.

Such hot weather has also affected American agriculture.

July and August are important seasons for crop growth, but in the case of continuous high temperature and water shortage, the growth of corn and potatoes in the United States began to slow down, and the probability of yield reduction greatly increased.

More difficult, however, is Europe.

One side of Europe is struggling for "lack of coal and gas", and the other side will encounter a drought once in 500 years.

The soaring temperature in many European countries has caused many fires, and the water levels in many rivers have also dropped significantly, causing serious food damage.

According to the latest monthly report released by local consulting organizations, the corn production in the EU decreased by 6,543,800 tons to 55.4 million tons in 2022-2023, setting a new low since 654.38+05. At the same time, the output of soybeans and sunflower seeds is also expected to drop by 8-9%, which is lower than the average level in the past five years.

It must be said that the global grain market is really ill-fated, and it is hard to wait until Ukraine's grain exports resume. The market has just ushered in some joy. As a result, the heat wave in the northern hemisphere directly "burned" this joy and caused the global grain to fall into turmoil again.
