However, as a college student in Taiwan Province Province who grew up in Kaohsiung and studied in Taipei, I can tell you responsibly that Kaohsiung is much more comfortable to live in than Taipei, and Taipei is expensive (affected by land price), the weather is not suitable for living (it is either too cold or too hot and rainy), and the traffic conditions are complicated (there are many cars on the road, although there is MRT, it is not as convenient as taking a bus to the destination).
