According to the records, "Ma Yuan, the general of Fu Bo in the Eastern Han Dynasty, led his troops to camp here. It seems that the sound of trumpets, bronze drums and iron hooves of the army 2000 years ago still echoes in people's ears today.

Tongguling, called sweet potato ridge in ancient times, is located in Longlou Town, Wenchang City. * * * There are 18 peaks, the highest of which is 338 meters above sea level. Known as the first peak in Qiongdong and the easternmost corner of Hainan. The top of Tongguzui Mountain is very steep, so be sure to pay attention to the smooth grass under your feet and stay away from the cliff. There is no diving company stationed in Yunlong Bay Beach now. When diving and swimming alone, you should pay attention to the underwater weeds around the rocks exposed to the sea, the direction of the current and the impact of the waves, and safety comes first. There are few leeches in Tongguling.

The grass slope on the beach of Tai O Bay is an excellent campsite, and the spring water in the grass on the beach is fresh water that can be drunk and bathed. You must never camp in a tent on the grassy slope at the top of Tongguzui Mountain. It is very dangerous if there is a sudden strong wind at night.

It is very effective to see the sea in sunny days and cloudy days. Usually, if the north wind blows in winter, the fog in the air is large, and the visibility and the color of the sea are not ideal; If the south wind blows, not only the waves look good, but also the sea is colorful. So if you want to take professional photography, you must consult the weather.

Tongguzui at the easternmost tip of Hainan Island is the best observation point for enjoying the first sunrise in Hainan Island. Sunrise time is around 06: 00 in the morning, and it will be later in winter.

Tonggushan

Generally speaking, Tongguling refers to the main peak of 338 meters. If you get into the newly-built hiking trail at the entrance of the rainforest plank road halfway up the mountain and climb the stairs, you can really enjoy many rare plants, giant stones and other natural landscapes of the rainforest, and there must be a lot of fun along the way.

Part of the top of the mountain is the camp of radar soldiers, and the northern end is the observation deck (there is a "pneumatic stone" next to it that can be shaken by the wind). Climbing high and looking far, the waves in Moon Bay surge for thousands of layers, the sea and sky are empty, fishing sails swim, seagulls soar, overlooking the seven islands and falling into the sea like colorful beads.

Moon Bay

Along the Ling Bao River from west to east, bypassing countless shrimp spines like scars on a beauty's face, the estuary is Moon Bay. Overlooking Moon Bay from a nearby hill, the 25-kilometer-long winding coastline looks like a bright moon. Taiaowan

There are many bays between Tongguling and Tonggujiao, among which the Bay at the foot of Tonggujiao Mountain is especially beautiful. From the main peak of Tongguling to the south, before reaching the Stone Park at the southern end, Tai O Bay is the only place to pass. At both ends of Tai O Bay are lush peaks, and in the middle is a white beach with only 1km. The waves in the U-shaped bay are like flowers in the Moon Bay. The sea is pure, the beach is delicate, and you can hear the squeaking sound when you rub the sand with your heel.

At the entrance of Tai O Bay, there is a wealthy family with a big yard with a flock of sheep and several cows. They often fish in the sea and are self-sufficient, so they can park here for the night. There is also an old man who lives in a temporary cabin in the bay and can provide some services to backpackers who come here occasionally. There is a spring next to the hut, which can be used for reference and bathing.

Stone Park is located at the foot of Tonggujiao Mountain between Yunlong Bay and Tongguzui. In fact, these stones are found in many places in Hainan Island, but because they are attached to Tongguling, and because they are basalts formed by basaltic magma rising along the fault zone deep in the earth and overflowing the surface, the stones in Stone Park are unusual. Large and small stones on the beach have long been eroded by waves and wind and rain into different shapes and colors; Sitting on the reef, watching the waves of the sea beating against the boulder and listening to the rumbling noise, you will deeply appreciate the power and charm of nature.

Tongguzui

Perhaps the most shocking seaside landscape in Hainan Island is Tongguzui. Look carefully for the stone steps covered with lush weeds on the barren slope near the entrance of Stone Park. After walking 500 meters, you will see the abandoned military bunker on the top of the mountain and the lighthouse with locked doors. Standing under the lighthouse, facing the left hand direction of the sea, there is a path in the dense forest. As soon as the cat entered the waist, it suddenly became clear. It turned out to be an 800-meter-long shady path woven by tall wild pineapples, unknown tropical shrubs and vines. At the end of the road is a vast cliff, and under the cliff is an endless sea, which is the top of Tongguzui Mountain.

The top of Tongguzui Mountain is an undulating grass slope with an area of more than ten acres. Grass slopes are covered with clusters of low wild pineapple tree and foxtail coconuts. The grass slope faces southeast and slides to the cliff, which makes people afraid to move forward. Facing the vast sea, facing the turbulent sea breeze and watching the rugged cliffs fall into the abyss of 200 meters, people can only crawl forward. In a flash, your courage is gone, your personality has become so humble, and your troubles and fatigue have disappeared in this endless mountain and sea.

Wan Yunlong

The singularity of Yunlong Bay is not at sea, but at the bottom of the sea. There are more than 100 kinds of well-protected coral resources, algae and more than 400 kinds of coral fish living on the coral reef under the 1,000-meter-long bay. It is worth mentioning that there are many honeycomb corals growing under the clear sea water on the shore here. Ordinary people look scary, but they are not dangerous. Some giant colloidal honeycomb corals even reach 10 to 20 square meters, some are like pot lids, and some are like cow dung, which are covered with submarine reefs; Swaying and floating algae grow on the gentle slopes of the sea floor and huge rocks and cliffs. On the seaweed, there are treasures, crabs and colorful fish swimming around.
