Autumn is coming, and the "Qinggan Great Ring Road" is very hot. Tourists usually arrive in Xining, Qinghai, and then charter or drive to colorful Danxia, Jiuquan, Dunhuang and many magnificent scenery along the way in Zhangye, Gansu. When I take this line, I enjoy the scenery except for the long drive, even if it is not a famous scenic spot along the way. On the first day from Xining to Zhangye, I was deeply moved by a mountain.

This mountain is called Daban Mountain, which is located at the junction of Datong and Menyuan counties in Qinghai Province, with an altitude of 3,792 meters. Compared with many peaks on the Qinghai Plateau, this height is unremarkable, but when I climbed Daban Mountain, I felt a little short of breath and accompanied by some headaches. This is a normal altitude sickness. So after arriving at the top platform, I discussed it with the driver's master and stopped in the parking area for a while.

Unexpectedly, in September, my Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai are still wearing short sleeves, and I can already see the snow scene on Daban Mountain. To tell the truth, the snow scene here is not as shocking as the famous snow mountain, but it is a snow scene after all! I am very excited about living in the east of China! The driver's master told me that the majestic snow mountain in the distance is called Gangshika Xuefeng, which is the highest peak in the east of Qilian Mountain, with an altitude of 5254 meters, ranking first among the mountains in Menyuan County. We should know that the climbing height of this mountain is not large, which is an ideal place for some tourists to climb and explore, and also a training base for some professional climbers to walk vertically in the mountain. Compared with Gangshika Xuefeng, Dabanshan is a "younger brother". What reason do I have to let the little rebellion disturb my mind?

The driver also told me that although the elevation of Daban Mountain where we are located is average, it is the highest in five worlds: First, the center of the road surface at the south exit of the tunnel is 3,792.75 meters above sea level, which is the highest elevation of the completed highway tunnel in Asia at that time; Second, in the highway tunnels that have been built in China, insulation layers should be laid first to prevent frost heaving; Thirdly, in the completed highway tunnels in China, firstly, an automatic wind-proof thermal insulation door is set at the entrance, and the tunnel is closed when there is no traffic in winter to reduce the intrusion of cold energy; The fourth is the first long highway tunnel in Qinghai; Fifth, Qinghai highway capital construction will be invited for the first time for domestic construction units, and "FIDIC" management projects in line with international standards will be implemented.

I never imagined that there was so much advanced technical support in the Dabanshan tunnel I just passed. I am proud of the strength of my motherland. The construction of Dabanshan Tunnel is also a good start. His scientific research achievements in architectural engineering are gradually extended to the later construction of Qinghai-Tibet Railway, which indicates that China's high-altitude tunnel construction technology has reached the international leading level.

Optimistic about the scenery, down from Daban Mountain, the altitude is getting lower and lower, and slowly enter the border ferry area in Gansu.
