How to prevent dengue fever?

The high incidence season of dengue fever is from May to165438+1October every year. Because dengue fever spreads rapidly, it can usually infect a large range of people in a short time, causing a great disease burden to society. At present, there is no specific treatment for dengue fever, and there is no vaccine on the market. Therefore, the most effective measures for personal prevention are to prevent mosquitoes, remove indoor and outdoor stagnant water, and seek medical advice in time after suspected symptoms appear.

Eliminate mosquitoes

Dengue fever is transmitted by mosquito bites, not directly from person to person. As long as you don't get bitten by mosquitoes, you won't get dengue fever.

(1) You should install physical barriers such as mosquito nets; Use mosquito-repellent incense, electronic mosquito repellent, electric mosquito swatter, mosquito killer and other equipment in time, or use insecticidal spray to kill mosquitoes indoors.

(2) In areas or seasons where dengue fever is prevalent, when going out for activities or traveling, such as parks and green belts, you should wear long-sleeved clothes and trousers, and apply mosquito repellent drugs to exposed skin and clothes. You should also avoid staying too long in outdoor places with more mosquitoes, such as shade, grass, gazebo, etc.

Clear away stagnant water

Mosquitoes spread dengue fever. Mosquitoes grow in small water containers. Removing stagnant water can control the growth and reproduction of mosquitoes and prevent dengue fever.

(1) Remove or invert all kinds of outdoor containers that can hold water, such as unused flower pots, water tanks and garbage that can hold water, and place them outdoors, on balconies and roofs.

(2) Aquatic plants (such as Fuguizhu, Evergreen, bergamot, etc. ) It should be washed with water bottles and tree roots every 3-5 days. During the epidemic of dengue fever, it is best not to plant aquatic plants, but to plant them in soil and sand.

(3) Keep the flowerpot tray free of water. If there is water, drain it at any time.

(4) Remove all kinds of useless accumulated water in time, such as ground accumulated water in ditches and roofs, and fill bamboo cracks and tree holes. For stagnant water that cannot be removed for a long time, corrosion inhibitors can be put in to kill larvae.

Timely medical treatment

Dengue fever is prevalent in summer and autumn, with sudden high fever, accompanied by severe headache, orbital pain, muscle, joint and bone pain, flushing on face, neck and chest, conjunctival congestion, rash on limbs, trunk or head and face, accompanied by leukopenia and thrombocytopenia, so as not to delay the illness or spread to classmates through mosquitoes.
