What places of interest are there in Haishan Town?
The ancestral hall was built in Guangxu period.
Haishan Town, Raoping County is a seaside town, and there is a Yanlou Mountain in the northeast of Shanggang Village. There is an ancestral temple in the south of Yanlou Mountain, with a building area almost half the size of a basketball court and a single-story gray wood structure. At first glance, nothing special. The Erjin Ancestral Temple consists of the main hall, the east wing, the west wing and two warehouses, separated by a patio.
Looking at the stone tablet at the entrance of this ancestral hall, it is not difficult to find that there are four big characters carved on it, and the couplet reads: "Eight families are United, and the calyx is bright and beautiful." There are eight stone carvings in the doorway, which describe the origin of eight surnames: Qiu, Li, Lai, Xue, Tian, Ye, Zhou and Ke. In the hall, Zhulian wrote: "Eight schools are United, Pepe is vast, and the three rivers and five lakes have a long history; Into the hall and * * * worship, continuous, colorful leaves often laughed.
After reading these written descriptions, it is not difficult to find that this is a unique ancestral temple. Eight, not the surname, but the quantity. It turns out that this ancestral temple was built by the eight surnames. Li Yichang, an old man who lives next to the ancestral hall, told reporters that Shanggang Village has a small population but many surnames. In the past, clan friction was inevitable. At the beginning of Bingwu year (1906) of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty, Mr. Li Liangquan, the sixteenth grandson of Lee, who was highly respected in Shanggang Village, actively advocated the joint construction of temples by all surnames in order to live in harmony with his neighbors. This move received a warm response from eight villagers named Qiu, Li, Lai, Xue, Tian, Ye, Zhou and Ke. So, everyone gave generously, and the ancestral hall was completed in 10 that year, and1/kloc-0 celebrated on the first day of the month.
Children of all surnames donated money to rebuild the ancestral temple.
After the completion of the "Bashi Ancestral Hall", every year on the second day of the first month, adult men of Bashi gather in the "dining table" of the ancestral hall; On the second day of November, eight clansmen joined the church to worship their ancestors. Usually, the clansmen also like to sit in the temple and talk about major events in the countryside for the sake of future development. It was soon discovered that surnames were increasingly United and all ethnic groups lived in harmony, showing a gratifying situation of population prosperity, bumper crops and political harmony.
According to the old man, last year coincided with the centenary of the ancestral hall, and descendants of various surnames enthusiastically donated money to rebuild it. Many skilled craftsmen also volunteered to decorate and repair the ancestral hall, painting it with chalk. The ancestral hall system is as old as before and the materials are easy to change, which attracted tourists from all walks of life to stop and enjoy it. ...

Xu Jiahuai, an expert in seamount literature and history, believes that in the late Qing Dynasty, when the concept of surname clan was very serious, it was also a miracle to build a ancestral hall by combining eight surnames with a great disparity in number in Chaoshan. After the completion of the temple, the friction between surnames and people was reduced, and the atmosphere of unity, cooperation and mutual assistance and harmony was enhanced, which undoubtedly played a positive role in the stability and development of society at that time. This phenomenon has many lessons and inspirations for maintaining rural stability and creating a harmonious society today.
