Shenmu must-see attractions: Hongjiannao, Erlang Mountain, Gaojiabao Ancient City, Erlin Rabbit Grassland and Bilinwan Scenic Area.

Hongjiannao 1

Hongjiannao, located in the northeast of Erlintu Town, Shenmu County, Yulin, is about 140 km away from downtown Yulin. It is a clear water in the Gobi Desert and a large inland freshwater lake in Shaanxi Province. It is known as the pearl of the sand sea. Here, you can enjoy the sunshine, beaches and lakes, and you can also see Sha Ou, swans and free fish in the lake, which is very pleasant.

2. Erlang Mountain

Erlang Mountain, on the outskirts of Shenmu County, Yulin City, has two bulges halfway up the mountain, which are shaped like camel peaks, also known as Hump Mountain. During Zheng De's reign in Ming Dynasty, Amin Wuzong toured through Shenmu County in Zhu Houzhao. Seeing this mountain shape, it looks like a desk pen container, so it is named Bijia Mountain, commonly known as Xishan Mountain, and is known as Little Huashan Mountain in northern Shaanxi.

3. Gaojiabao Ancient City

Gaojiabao Ancient City, located about 50 kilometers southwest of Shenmu County, Yulin City, and about 5 kilometers away from the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty, was built in the fourth year of Ming Dynasty, and is a well-preserved castle of Ming Dynasty in Shenmu County and even the whole northern Shaanxi.

4. Erlin Rabbit Grassland

Located on the east side of the famous scenic spot of Hongjiannao Scenic Area at the junction of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and northern Shaanxi Province, it is 25 kilometers long from east to west and 5 kilometers wide from north to south. There is a natural grassland pasture with an area of 70 square kilometers on the west side, with abundant water plants and flocks of cattle and sheep. In the north and south, sand dunes are the main beaches. There is a large area of sand-fixing windbreak forest belt dominated by Salix psammophila on the beach, and most of the dunes are fixed dunes.

5. Bilinwan Scenic Area

Bilinwan Scenic Area is located in Shenmu County, Shaanxi Province. There are perfect supporting facilities and a variety of recreational projects here, which is a good place for local people to relax.
