Big data from the "One Machine Travel" platform released by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism shows that the number of tourists visiting traditional tourist destinations such as Xishuangbanna, Kunming, Dali, and Lijiang during the May Day holiday increased by more than 75% year-on-year.

Xishuangbanna had the largest increase, up to 147%; Kunming received the most tourists, reaching 5.191 million, a year-on-year increase of 141%. During the "May Day" period, 4A and above tourist attractions in Yunnan Province received 3.45 million tourists, a year-on-year increase of 88.92%, of which 1.36 million were booked into the park and the scenic area revenue was 190 million yuan.

During the May Day holiday, tourists from Yunnan Province were the main source of tourists, accounting for 67.1% of the total market, an increase of 1.8% over the previous year.

Compared with last year, the number of tourists received by Yunnan increased by 79%, and tourism revenue increased by 64% year-on-year. Compared with the year before the epidemic, the average daily tourist volume has recovered to about 120%, and the income has recovered to about 123%.

During the holidays, various parts of Yunnan Province actively launched various high-quality tourist routes, and red-themed tourist routes were highly booked, becoming a new highlight in Yunnan's tourism market.

Yunnan’s tourism industry recovered strongly during the May Day holiday, with visitors to Xishuangbanna increasing by 147% year-on-year.

In addition, on the eve of this year’s May Day holiday, Yunnan vigorously promoted the “30-day unconditional return” policy, actively guiding tourists to consume rationally and travel in a civilized way, and achieved positive results.

During the May Day holiday, the Tourist Return Center of Kunming Changshui International Airport accepted 23 returns worth more than 130,000 yuan. The rewards tourists receive are mainly jade and silverware.
