Why can't the local economy with developed tourism develop?

Because places with developed tourism are generally inland areas with inconvenient transportation. Because of the inconvenient transportation, most of these places can't develop economically.

For example, Lugu Lake in Lijiang, Yunnan. Once I went there to play, and it took me eight hours to get there by van. All the way is a mountain road, which is very bumpy. Some stones often fall, and the risk factor on the road is still quite high.

If such a place wants to develop its economy, it will take several years to build roads alone. The transportation cost is so high that it is particularly difficult to build a house in Lugu Lake.

Therefore, apart from a little agriculture, the people in this place mainly rely on tourism for their income.

Many poor people in Lugu Lake have no electricity at home. Those four or five-year-old children can already carry firewood in the mountains. However, it is precisely because of the underdeveloped economy that their environment can be kept in a good state and they can rely on tourism to make a living.

Another example is Guizhou. There are many tourist attractions in Guizhou, but the economy in those places is not good either. Because of traffic problems! Traffic is inconvenient, business contacts are inconvenient, and the economy naturally cannot develop.

Looking back at the coast, it is precisely because of the convenient transportation that the economy is much better than the inland, but the tourism industry in the coast is not as good as that in the inland, and many places have been overexploited.

Therefore, where tourism is developed, economic development is mostly infeasible, because where tourism is developed, transportation is infeasible, so their economy cannot develop rapidly. Fortunately, with the support of tourism, the economic stability of these places can also be guaranteed.
