Is it better to choose Ontario or British Columbia to study in Canada?

1. Climate

In terms of climate, the climate in BC will be more pleasant. It will not be too hot in summer and not too cold in winter. BC is very different from other places in Canada. Generally speaking, the climate is relatively mild and suitable for living. It is just like the weather in the south of our country. There is more rain but less snow. The temperature will be around zero at the coldest time. It's a place with a better climate here in Canada.

Ontario’s weather is more like our north, with colder winters and a lot of snow. In summer, the weather is very hot and humid, and there are often stormy weather. The temperature here can drop to below -25°C at its coldest. In many areas of the province, snow tends to accumulate well into December. Naturally, the closer you get to the north, the colder it gets.

2. Education system

The systems established by education bureaus and schools across Ontario are very flexible, and students do not have too many restrictions when applying. Moreover, one of the benefits of students studying here is that they will receive more care, but there is also a disadvantage. Because admission is liberalized during admission, the overall student pool may not be of much quality.

Schools in BC are more rigorous, have stricter management of schools, and have strict inspections of students. It's like BC has a provincial exam, but Ontario doesn't.

The system in Ontario is as follows:

Grades 1 to 8 belong to the elementary school level, and grades 9 to 12 belong to the middle school level. High school students must have 30 credits to graduate. Graduation diplomas are issued by OSSD, but there is no provincial graduation examination.

The system in BC is as follows:

Grades 1 to 7 belong to the elementary school level, and grades 8 to 12 belong to the middle school level. High school students must have 80 credits to graduate, but in Ontario The credits in BC are actually different from the credits in BC. There is no one higher and one lower.

Graduation diplomas are issued by SCCP and there is a unified provincial graduation examination.

3. Immigration policy

Over the years, Canada has reformed its immigration policy many times, but if you have a Canadian study background, there are not many restrictions on immigrating. As long as they have completed at least a two-year degree in Canada, these students can get a three-year visa after graduation. This way students can get more internship possibilities here in Canada.
